Cookie dough almond balls
Protein-packed cookie dough balls, a sweet snack that handles afternoon cravings without derailing your day. A staple recipe from the FHC Program.
You’re in for a treat with this one. Believe it or not, this is a staple recipe from the FHC Program, packed with protein, full of good fats, and just the thing for the 3pm cravings that derail most diets.
I’d rather you have a planned, protein-led snack at 3pm than a willpower battle that ends at the biscuit tin. These deliver. Make a batch on Sunday, keep them in the fridge, and you’re sorted for the week.
Ingredients
- 1 cup almond flour
- 2 servings vanilla whey protein isolate
- 1/2 cup almond butter (or other nut butter)
- 1 tablespoon agave or maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon organic coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon organic coconut cream
- 1/3 cup chopped 70% dark chocolate
Method
- Combine almond flour and protein powder in a large bowl.
- Fold in almond butter, sweetener, coconut oil, and coconut cream.
- If the mixture is too crumbly, add a little more coconut oil until it holds together.
- Fold in the chopped chocolate and stir until combined.
- Shape the mixture into 16 balls.
- Pop into the fridge for 30 minutes to firm up, then enjoy. Keep stored in the fridge in an airtight container.
